Aviator Guitars Ace Edition Custom Nighthawk 6-string multiscale

This Nighthawk 6s was one of the first full custom orders we did for a client. And the client went ALL OUT!! This was a space-themed guitar with a dark top and back to provide the backdrop for the theme. A special poplar burl top with some gaps and holes was selected so that a custom multicolor epoxy could be used to fill in those gaps, and combined with the swirls of the burl, really accentuated the space effect. A carved top and neck-through construction were chosen for the build to make it even more special. The neck was flamed maple and was colored in purple gradient (magenta to dark purple-indigo). For the fingerboard, black Richlite was chosen because the client wanted a custom ring galaxy inlay (multicolor epoxy matching the body). The inlay ran practically the entire length of the ‘board. Aviator did a phenomenal job with this build and truly made a spectacular, one-of-a-kind guitar.
